Who is eligible to participate in the EdTA scheme? The EdTA welcomes anyone who is full-time or part-time employed to teach or support learning at the University of Edinburgh including colleagues in research and professional services roles and doctoral students. Clinical or workplace staff who provide work-based teaching are also eligible. What do we mean by teaching or supporting university learning?Giving or contributing to lectures, seminars, workshops or tutorialsLeading field trips, excursions, research projects, site visits, studios, clinics, and outdoor educationResearch supervision including laboratory and technical supportDesigning and delivering online learning, technology and library training, modules, short courses, and/or simulation-based learningStudent life, wellbeing, cohort-lead duties, student and academic development, disability and other various student and staff support workAnd many other functions and duties that enhance learning at the universityPlease note that you need to be employed or enrolled in a doctoral study programme at the University of Edinburgh that covers the time you will be involved in the EdTA, and you must be currently employed/studying when you submit your completed documents. This is to meet our accreditation requirements. If you are in a time-crunch, we recommend applying directly to Advance HE.
