Submitting your Fellowship claim

How to submit your Fellowship claim, and submission dates.

As of March (2025), we are moving away from using WordPress in the EdTA scheme and instead using a new submission format. All EdTA participants, mentors, and assessors will receive guidance on how to submit EdTA claims in our new format via our Teams channel and future live sessions.

Steps: How do I submit a fellowship claim?

Step 1 - download the correct form

Download and read the EdTA submission form appropriate to your category.

Step 2 - complete the form

Complete all required sections of the submission form and abide by the instructions provided within the document.

  • Please provide a clean copy (no Mentor comments included) of the submission form
  • Submissions that do not meet the word count, ignore instructions, or alter the format of the submission form will result in an automatic outcome of ‘Refer’, and it will not be judged by the panel. (i.e., A Refer is for submissions which do not yet meet the standards, n.b., please see panel decisions page for more information) 

Step 3 - submit

Submit your form by emailing the EdTA team:

  • Send your email to: IAD.cpdframework@ed.ac.uk
  • The email should include your completed submission form and all of your supporting statements as attachments.
  • The body of the email should indicate which fellowship category you are applying to.

Step 4 - confirmation email

A confirmation email will be sent back to you from the EdTA team confirming that you have successfully submitted all of the correct documentation. We will notify you in the days immediately following a submission deadline if you have not correctly submitted your information for the panel. We recommend forwarding the confirmation email to your mentor letting them know that you’ve successfully submitted.

EdTA submission dates

All EdTA participants are given just under 2 years to complete their submission. You can submit at any time in those 2 years. The list below is all of the current submission deadlines which are needed to arrange assessment panels. All submissions should be sent before 12pm (UK time) on the deadline. 

For 2025, the submission deadlines are:

  • February 3, 2025
  • May 1, 2025
  • July 3, 2025
  • October 2, 2025 

For 2026, the submission deadlines are:

  • February 3, 2026
  • May 5, 2026
  • July 2, 2026
  • October 1, 2026 

For 2027, the submission deadlines are:

  • February 4, 2027
  • May 5, 2027
  • July 6, 2027
  • October 5, 2027
