Abstract

This study will assess the impact of e-portfolios on helping students reflect on their development of graduate attributes. We intend to introduce e-portfolios in to an already existing 2nd year pre-honours course of approximately 170 students. We will instruct the students on how to construct their e-portfolios and encourage them to reflect on the graduate attributes they are developing. We will assess the impact of the e-portfolios through a number of assessment methods, including student interviews, focus groups and the assessment of the final product through the development of a rubric. This proposal will form the foundation for future studies on the impact of e-portfolios on graduate recruitment, Edinburgh Award reflections and cohort building.
