Showing interestIf you are new to the University or have recently heard about the EdTA, you may have some questions and queries about the scheme in terms of what it is and how it works. Broadly, the EdTA is a mentoring scheme which supports staff towards gaining fellowship from Advance HE, guided by their professional standards framework (PSF). Your role as an assessor is to read and assess fellowship claims, and to provide judgement and feedback on whether these claims meet the professional standards. EligibilityTo be eligible to be an assessor with us, you need to be a currently employed staff member with existing fellowship at Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow and planning to be here for a minimum of 2 years. We encourage assessors to have experience mentoring on our scheme, but it is not a requirement. We are always trying to grow our EdTA assessor community, if you are interested in being an assessor or would like to nominate an assessor, please reach out to the EdTA team, at IAD.cpdframework@ed.ac.uk.To learn more about EdTA assessing, please browse our content and resources included on this subsection. If you’d like to know more about the EdTA from a participant’s or mentor’s experience, please take a look at our Prospective EdTA participants, Current EdTA participants pages, or EdTA mentors pages.
