Critical skills in politics and international relations. Principal applicant: Dr Elizabeth Bomberg Team member: Ms Victorial Loughlan Abstract A project to to develop and deliver two feedback-rich skills workshops for a first year course in Politics and International Relations. A core priority of the University’s learning and teaching enhancement strategy is to improve the student experience, especially in relation to student satisfaction and feedback. Our proposal will address that priority by providing - prior to formal submission of assignments - two skills workshops (a critical reading workshop, and an essay preparation workshop) rich in ‘feedback dialogues’ (Blair & McGinty 2012) between students and staff, but also amongst student themselves.
