How was this policy developed?

The policy was first presented to Senate Learning and Teaching on the 21st November 2012, where, following a lively discussion, the authors were asked to address a number of issues. These issues was taken on board and considered, all of them were addressed and the policy was subsequently approved by Senate Learning and Teaching Committee on the 30th January 2013. Following this it was then ratified by the Academic Senate on the 6th February 2013.

After review, the policy has been subsequently amended in summer 2023.
